Privacy Policy
This policy explains what the TakePrint app collects, why we collect it, who it is shared with, and the choices you have. We collect the minimum needed to print and deliver your documents.
1. What we collect
- Documents you upload (PDFs) — to analyse page count and page size, quote a price, and print them.
- Order details — your print options (paper, colour, sides, binding, copies) and the pricing of the order.
- Account information — the email address you sign in with and your display name, provided by your Google account when you sign in.
- Contact and shipping information — the name, phone number and delivery address you enter at checkout, and the GSTIN if you ask for a GST invoice.
We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, or device identifiers for advertising. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use your documents for any purpose other than fulfilling your order.
2. How we use it
- To calculate pricing and fulfil your print orders.
- To create and track your shipment with our delivery partner.
- To send you order confirmations and status updates.
- To process your payment through our payment provider. Card details are handled by the provider and are never stored by us.
- To keep the invoice and accounting records the law requires us to keep.
3. Who we share it with
We share only what a partner needs to do its part of the job, and only for that purpose.
- Delhivery (courier) — recipient name, phone, delivery address and order value, so your parcel can be shipped and tracked.
- Razorpay (payments) — the payment amount and order reference. Card and UPI credentials are collected and held by Razorpay, not by us.
- Supabase (hosting and storage) — stores your account, orders and uploaded PDFs in a private bucket on our behalf.
We may also disclose information where we are legally required to, such as in response to a valid legal request from a public authority.
4. Security
- You sign in with your Google account. The session token is kept in the device's secure storage (Android Keystore).
- Our database enforces row-level access: you can only read and manage your own orders and addresses. Administrative data and tools are restricted to staff accounts.
- Uploaded files live in a private bucket that is not publicly readable.
- Partner API secrets are held server-side only and are never shipped inside the app.
No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach ever affects your personal data we will notify you and the relevant authority as required by law.
5. Retention
- Uploaded documents are short-lived. They are deleted automatically a short period after your order is fulfilled (default: 7 days), and immediately when you delete your account.
- Order metadata (invoice number, amounts, tax) is kept longer, because tax and accounting law requires it.
- Account details are kept until you delete your account.
6. Deleting your account and data
You can delete your account and order history at any time, in two ways:
- In the app — open Account → Delete account & data. This removes your account, addresses, order records and any stored files.
- By email — write to support@takeprint.in from the email address you signed up with, with the subject "Account deletion request". We will confirm and complete the deletion within 30 days.
What is deleted: your account, display name, email, saved addresses, phone number, uploaded documents and order history. What is retained: invoice and tax records for completed orders, for the period Indian tax law requires. These are retained in a form that is not used to profile or contact you.
7. Your rights
You can ask us to:
- show you a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- correct anything that is wrong — most of it you can edit yourself in the app;
- delete your account and data, as described above;
- stop sending you non-essential messages.
Write to us at the address in section 10 and we will respond within 30 days.
8. Children
TakePrint is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. If the change is significant, we will also notify you in the app or by email before it takes effect.
